No Fish Farm Protest Paid Off!

It is with great pleasure to inform you that the proposed Fin Fish Farm for Humewood/Summerstrand is NOT taking place, it has officially been removed from the plan!!

Thank you to everyone who participated in making this happen & for taking the effort to stand up and be counted

The battle is still  not entirely won as DAFF would still like to go ahead & farm bivalves at the Summerstrand site. As mentioned by Algoa Bay Hope Spot this involves visual and water pollution. It is IMPORTANT that the public attend one of the two meeting scheduled at the end of the month. 31 July (Town Hall) and 1 August (Motherwell NU2 Community Hall) at 18h00.
